Dr Valerie Tay is the Director of the Aspire Ear Nose Throat and Snoring Clinic at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and is also a visiting consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). She was the former chief of the facial plastic surgery service at TTSH, where she started the first multi-disciplinary facial palsy clinic in Singapore. 

She was the previous president of the Society of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, Singapore and the Association of Women Doctors, Singapore.

Dr Valerie Tay completed her postgraduate Otolaryngology training in Singapore. She was awarded the Ministry of Health “Health Manpower Development Programme” scholarship, and pursued advanced sub-specialty training in Facial Plastic Surgery in the renowned Navi Plastic Surgery Clinic, a high volume plastic surgery centre in Seoul, South Korea.  She is active in locoregional conferences, and has also contributed chapters to various facial plastic surgery textbooks, such as Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a textbook for otolaryngology residents in North America.
