Dr Celeste Ann Chua graduated from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2002. She pursued a degree in Family Medicine and was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2008. During this time, she developed a strong clinical interest in ENT conditions and 10 years after graduation, she returned to specialist training under the Singhealth Residency programme for Otorhinolaryngology in 2013. She completed her membership examination under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd ENT) in 2014 and obtained a Master of Medicine (ENT) from the National University of Singapore in 2015. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore after acquiring Specialist Accreditation in Singapore.
She was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme Fellowship by the Ministry Of Health (Singapore) and completed her fellowship in Otology – Neurotology and Cochlear Implant Surgery at the Catholic University of Korea, Seoul St Mary’s Hospital in Seoul in 2022. Under the mentorship of Prof Park Shi Nae and Prof Pawel and Margaret Jastreboff, she is trained in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy for the management of Tinnitus and Decreased Sound Tolerance (Hyperacusis and Misophonia).
Dr Chua is Head of the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital. Currently she also leads the Otology Service there, performing surgery for acute and chronic ear conditions, cholesteatoma and hearing implants.
