Dr Yeo Seng Beng graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1985. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Otolaryngology in 1990, and in 1997 as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore, in the specialty of Otorhinolaryngology (ORL).
In 1997, he completed a fellowship in Otology and Neuro-otology under Dr Malcolm Graham at the Georgia Ear Institute, USA. In 2003, Dr Yeo had attachments in the subspecialty of neuro-otology with Professor Bruce Gantz, University of Iowa, and Professor Robert Jackler, Stanford University, USA under a 2nd HMDP award,
Clinical ORL Appointments:
Dr Yeo has worked in the Department of Otolaryngology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital since 1989, where he is a Senior Consultant Neuro-otologist. He was the Head of Department from 2012 -2022.
Dr Yeo contributes subspecialty clinical services outside of TTSH and was visiting specialist to KK Women's and Children Hospital (1998 –2006), visiting consultant in Otology and Neuro-otology to Changi General Hospital (2004-present), the National University Hospital (2006 – 2010), Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (2017- present), and Woodlands Hospital (2024-present).
Dr Yeo was recognized by NHG with the Distinguished Achievement Award in 2018 and conferred Emeritus Consultant in 2024.
Teaching and Professional Administration:
He was a member of the Ministry of Health’s ENT Specialist Training Committee (2001-2013) and was the National Program Director of Training for Singapore’s ENT residents, (2004-2012).
Dr Yeo subsequently served in MOH’s ORL Residency Advisory Committee (RAC) which oversees ORL training matters in Singapore (member 2015-2021, Chairman 2021-2024, member 2024-2027)
Dr Yeo has served in the Chapter of Otolaryngology, College of Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Singapore. (Chairman 2017-2021, Board Member 2021-2023)
