Dr. Lin specializes in sleep surgery, maxillomandibular advancement, orthognathic surgery, and facial contouring surgery. He is an associate professor and the Director of the Craniofacial Center, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan.
Dr. Lin has worked with Prof. Yu-Ray Chen in orthognathic surgery since 2003. He also received a Research Fellowship with Prof. Christian Guilleminault at Stanford University Sleep Center from 2009-2010. Since then, his clinical and research have focused on treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea by Maxillomandibular Advancement. He has been invited as a keynote speaker, lecturing on related topics at conferences worldwide. He also receives international fellow surgeons, trying to popularize MMA treatment for patients with OSA. Dr. Lin has received many awards, including the National Innovation Awards of Taiwan, for innovative procedures in maxillomandibular advancement.
His research interests are Craniofacial Development, growth and deformation, sleep medicine, and craniofacial surgery in obstructive sleep apnea. He has been an active member of many academic associations, such as the Taiwan Society of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Taiwan Cleft Palate Association, and the American Cleft Palate Association.
